1. "Accelerated" Program and Honor's Degree Program
At Saarland University you can attend additional regular courses during a summer school. You will win time and flexibility. Talented students have also a chance to attend our special Honor's Program. This special support shall enable them to earn an Honor's Degree, to finish their studies in less than the regular time and/or to give them the opportunity to prepare for a PhD project while still being in the Masters Program.

3. Internationality all inclusive

Saarland University was the first University in Germany who completely shifted its computer science programs to Bachelor/Master structure. Nearly all lectures of our master program are held in English. Thus, German students are very well prepared for their future international working field. We offer also the opportunity to study abroad, e.g. within the "Stanford Cooperation".

4. The best ratio teaching personnel per student
Only four students have to share one researcher (professor or junior scientist). No long waiting time for practical courses or seminars. Because a lot of scientist work at the computer science department or in the research institutes nearby, you will have a lot of possibilities to work in the research groups, not only while writing your thesis. 7. The Max Planck Institute for Computer Science and the Max Planck Institute for Software Systems
Both Max Planck Institutes working on computer science topics are located on the Campus of Saarland University in direct neighborhood to the computer science department.
8. The German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI).
This research institute works very closely to industry and SMEs, but nevertheless it has strong bindings to the university.
9. The most important scientific awards
Members of our faculties and research institutes have gained distinguished scientific awards such as the German Future Award, Leibniz Awards and Konrad-Zuse-Medals (Survey). At our institutes or faculties one can cooperate with international successful scientists.
